Frens, Apple TV just dropped the trailer for Being Heumann, and it literally gave me goosebumps and brought me to tears!
And let’s be clear, they already had me at Mark Ruffalo!

About ‘Being Heumann’
They wouldn’t take Judy Heumann’s phone calls, so she took their building!
Based on true events, the film follows disability rights activist Judy Heumann (Ruth Madeley), who leads a coalition of more than 100 people in a historic 1977 protest at a federal building in San Francisco.
What begins as a bold act of defiance becomes the longest occupation of a federal building in American history.
The protesters refuse to leave until the government finally addresses their demands for equal rights.

These were people determined to be heard, challenging a system that had ignored them for far too long.
Mark Ruffalo plays the government bureaucrat standing in their way, and I already have questions about his character!
Written and directed by Academy Award winner Siân Heder (CODA), the film also stars Dylan O’Brien, Madeline Delp, Roberta Colindrez, Ray Fisher, Daniel Durant, and Rob Delaney.
The film made its opening night premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and is headed to the BFI London Film Festival for a Gala presentation.

‘Being Heumann’ Release Date
Being Heumann opens in select theaters on Friday, November 6, 2026, before its global streaming premiere on Apple TV on Friday, November 13.
