Frens, every now and then, a film comes along that reminds me why I love movies so much, and Misty Green is one of them!
I went into this film not knowing exactly what to expect, but by the time the credits rolled, I had thoughts, feelings, and plenty to talk about.
And the craziest part? I haven’t stopped thinking about this movie since I watched it.
About Misty Green
Written and directed by Chris Rock, Misty Green stars Rosalind Eleazar as an Emmy-winning actress whose once-successful Hollywood career has been derailed by her own toxic behavior and self-sabotage.
Now, she’s fighting for a second chance.
Over the course of seven chaotic days, Misty desperately tries to land a role that could put her career back on track.
But between her complicated relationships, personal struggles, and a few unexpected developments, getting her life together may be her biggest challenge yet.
The film features an impressive ensemble cast, including Daniel Kaluuya, Adam Driver, Anna Kendrick, Topher Grace, and Chris Rock.
And trust me, these characters give you plenty to unpack!

But I will say this: Rosalind Eleazar’s performance had my full attention, and Chris Rock has created a story that goes far beyond the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
We’re talking complicated characters, questionable decisions, and a woman who may be her own biggest obstacle.
